 Hi! My name is Dan Brand and I live in the city of Nambour on Australia's beautiful Queensland Sunshine Coast. I have been downloading pictures from the web and collecting slide shows and videos from emails that I've received since I bought my first computer. Eventually I started to compile my own slide shows and send them out to my friends in emails. I started by using Open office Impress to make up the shows because it is free and a great program but others have to have Open Office to view them, so I had to convert them to Adobe PDF files, which are fine except I wanted to show them full screen. I then bought Microsoft Office 2007 and began compiling my slide shows in PPSX format. I thought it would be wonderful to let the whole world have a look at them for free, so began some serious lessons in web building. In my youth I was nicknamed Randy, sometimes Randy Dan, like the singer Randy Travis or the actor Randy Quade. It rhymed and sounded good. When I was contemplating a name for my web site, it wasn't long before I realized I already had one. So that's how Randidan.com came about. But that's Enough about me for now, keep a check on my blog each time you visit, as I will let you know there each time I add a slide show or video. He's a qualified pilot and has taken me flying in a 172 Cessna on two occasions so far. (Magnificent) He has designed and built his own flight simulator and set it up in his garage. He made such a good job of it that the Royal Flying Doctor Service contracted him to build one for them. It's now up and operational in Alice Springs.
